On this day, December 25, artist and illustrator Louis D. Fancher was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He studied with Henry Siddons Mowbray, Robert Henri, and Kenyon Cox. In addition to book and advertising illustrations, Fancher also created posters for the CPI during World War I.
