On this day, February 17, 1948, illustrator Edward B. Edwards died in LA County, California. After studies in Europe and New York, Edwards attended Howard Pyle’s Monday Night Class in Wilmington, Delaware in 1904. Edwards’s designed illustrations for books, magazines, and advertisements, many of which reflected his expertise in the graphic arts.
