On this day, February 11, 1943, fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez was born Utuado, Puerto Rico. He moved to New York City with his family when he was young and studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Antonio began his professional career working for Women’s Wear Daily as an intern and then at the New York Times. By the 1970s Antonio was a master fashion illustrator in New York and Paris who helped discover models and actresses like Jerry Hall and Jessica Lange.
