On this day, June 6, 1933, illustrator and portrait painter Frederick Coffay Yohn died in Norwalk, Connecticut. After studies at the Indianapolis Art School and at the Art Students League of New York, Yohn studied in Paris. He specialized in military themes, especially of the American Revolution.
