On this day, June 7, 1915, comic book artist and illustrator Graham Ingels was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the son of a commercial artist. Ingels studied at the Hawthorne School of Art in New York. He began freelancing at the age of 14. After a stint in the navy, Ingels began working for Fiction House Publications. His work can be seen in Tales From the Crypt, Vault of Horror, and Haunt of Fear. Ingels sometimes signed his work as “Ghastly”.
