On this day, March 27, 1917, illustrator and artist Stanley Meltzoff was born in New York City. Meltzoff started his career as an illustrator for “Stars and Stripes” in Italy during WWII. He worked as an illustrator and commercial artist producing illustrations for many popular and scientific magazines, and for pulp fiction and science fiction book covers.
