On this day, March 7, 1934, comic and science fiction illustrator Gray Morrow was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Morrow trained for a short time at the Chicago Academy of the Fine Arts and then moved to New York. He worked on a variety of comics and some classics illustrated and eventually began to work for science fiction magazines illustrating stories and creating covers for sci fi books. Morrow even worked in animation including on a Spider Man TV series.
