On this day, November 14, 1901, comic strip artist Clarence Gray was born in Toledo, Ohio. After high school Gray supported himself by doing sports and editorial cartoons for the local newspaper. Gray was perhaps best known for his science fiction adventure comic strip Brick Bradford.
